Manager, Distribution Sales & Marketing

Location: Toronto (Remote)

Super Channel, a national premium television network, is looking for a dynamic individual who loves television and understands the traditional broadcast environment as well as is passionate about new digital technologies.

We are looking for a person who is flexible, innovative and results oriented. You are passionate about entertainment and excited to work in an industry that is in flux and a company that believes in innovation to get results.

This role is part of the Revenue Team and reports to the Chief Revenue Officer. In this role, you will be required to:

  • Be the main point of contact with BDU teams and other platform partners.
  • Identify and execute revenue generating opportunities across BDUs and platform partners to drive subscribers and reduce churn.
  • Training of BDU teams as and when required –virtually and in-person. Have ideas to create training materials.
  • Work closely with internal teams to develop and deliver on marketing and content priorities. This will include monthly communication material for partners.
  • Analyze and report on subscriber data, performance of campaigns and other marketing initiatives.
  • Work closely with the Chief Revenue officer on strategic opportunities to maximize pricing and packaging of the Super Channel package and offering.
  • Explore new subscriber opportunities to remain competitive.
  • Have a good understanding of existing and emerging technologies across platforms that can include apps, streaming platformsand FAST channels.
  • Be flexible to take on a product management role when necessary to ensure digital products are user friendly anddeliver on business objectives.

Qualifications
  • A post-secondary degree in Business, Sales or Marketing is preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in the broadcast or related industry.
  • Basic understanding about broadcasting technology as well as streaming apps and related digital technologies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products –MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Self-motivated, goal driven and strong attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills including making public presentations when required.
  • Strong team player who is able to work comfortably across cross-functional teams and different levels, both virtually and in-person.
  • Ability to multi-task, flexible to take on new projects and able to contribute new ideas openly.
